MASTER OF SCIENCE
ARCHITECT MARIA MURAWSKY
Inspired design. Designed to inspire.
I am a graduate of the University of Technology in Poznan, Poland - faculty architecture and urban planning. I started designing independently and fell in love with the process. I enjoy every stage of a project – from beginning sketches, supervising the project onsite to placing the last pillow or final finishing touch.
Excellence. It’s in the details.
Precision is my mantra. I believe in design that is well organized, practical but also fancy.
I think pure light is essential and symmetry brings peace to a space. I like to create interiors that are easy to live in. I love playing with different, natural and pure materials and I believe every detail matters – the material, millwork, tones, structures, and fabrics.
Form. Function. Feelings. Architecture should delight.
What matters most is how you feel when you walk into a room and see a space transformed. That’s why I admire architecture that inspires and evokes feelings. My own inspiration can be found in the works of Scandinavian, French and Brazilian architects and designers like Mies van der Rohe, Hans Wegner, Jean Royère and Jorge Zalszupin. I’m a huge fan of the fresh simplicity of mid-century Scandi-style and its high level of artisan. I admire the vivacious and sexy French design and I’m also moved by the strong, vibrancy of Brazilian furniture and architecture. I value iconic furniture, the artistry, and history behind them – that is why I try to implement them often in my work.
